Experience Teide National Park as it changes from daylight to darkness on an evening excursion combining volcanic scenery, sunset, dinner and astronomy. The journey takes you by comfortable, air-conditioned bus into the national park, with several scenic stops along the way. The route allows you to see the volcanic landscapes and unusual rock formations surrounding Mount Teide before reaching a suitable location for sunset. As the sun disappears, the colours of the volcanic landscape change dramatically and, on clear evenings, the views can extend above a sea of clouds. A toast is made during the sunset experience. The evening continues with a three-course dinner at a mountain restaurant. Drinks are included with the meal, with wine and water documented as part of the dinner service. Once darkness has fallen, a specialist Starlight guide introduces the stars and constellations visible above Tenerife. Laser technology is used to identify different areas of the sky, while professional telescopes provide a closer look at astronomical objects. The full experience takes approximately six to seven hours, depending on the pickup area and seasonal sunset time. Warm layers, long trousers and closed footwear are strongly recommended because temperatures can fall considerably after sunset.
