Discover the spectacular Anaga mountains on a guided hiking adventure through Anaga Rural Park, one of Tenerife's most beautiful and untouched natural areas. The experience takes you through lush laurel forest, rugged mountain paths, deep valleys and dramatic viewpoints overlooking the surrounding landscape and Atlantic Ocean. A highlight of the experience is the hiking descent, known as the “bajada”. This means that part of the route is completed downhill on foot, allowing you to continue through the mountains rather than simply returning along the same route. As you descend, the scenery and vegetation gradually change, giving you a different perspective of Anaga's dramatic landscape. The descent follows natural mountain paths through forest and open sections, with uneven terrain and changing gradients. Along the way, the guide provides information about the area's natural environment, ancient laurel forests, native vegetation and distinctive volcanic landscape. This is an active hiking experience and some sections can be physically demanding. Comfortable hiking shoes, suitable outdoor clothing, sun protection and sufficient water are recommended.
