Explore the scientific side of Teide National Park during a guided daytime visit to the Teide Observatory. The approximately 1.5-hour experience introduces visitors to the world of astrophysics and to the work carried out at the observatory. A specialist guide explains the importance of the Canary Islands for astronomical research and introduces the telescopes used by scientists. One of the highlights is the opportunity to observe the Sun through portable solar telescopes. Depending on the conditions, you can see solar activity and learn how astronomers study our nearest star. The visit also includes access to a nocturnal telescope, where you can see how this type of telescope works and learn more about astronomical observation. The experience has a low difficulty level, but it takes place at high altitude and involves walking between the different areas of the observatory. Transportation is not included in the standard version.
