Discover Tenerife's rural mountain landscape on a guided hike along the historic Camino Real around Santiago del Teide. The route combines traditional paths, volcanic scenery, endemic vegetation and impressive views towards Mount Teide. The hiking section lasts approximately 3½–4 hours and includes around 352 metres of ascent and descent. The route passes through Tenerife's dramatic mountain environment, with changing landscapes ranging from rural areas and traditional agricultural surroundings to open mountain terrain. One of the highlights is the combination of nature and panoramic scenery. As you walk through the area, you can enjoy views towards Teide while discovering some of the island's characteristic endemic flora and traditional landscapes. Transportation from accommodation in southern Tenerife and a mountain guide are included. Food and drinks are not included, so guests should bring sufficient water and something to eat. Comfortable sportswear, a light jacket and proper hiking shoes or sturdy trainers are recommended.
