DISCOVER THE CAVE OF THE WIND. The fifth largest volcanic tube in the world and the largest in Europe. Cueva del Viento is a volcanic cavity located in the district of Icod de los Vinos which bears the same name. It was formed 27,000 years ago in basaltic lavas from the first eruptive phase of the Pico Viejo volcano, next to Mount Teide (Tenerife, Canary Islands).
Add the famous Teide cable car to your volcano day and glide from the base station at 2,356 m up to La Rambleta at 3,555 m in just eight minutes — with jaw-dropping views over the crater, the lava fields and, on clear days, four neighbouring islands.
